Stop Waiting On Clarity - Build It

There is something about waiting that feels like it would be the most logical thing to do...even spiritual.
We tell ourselves we are simply being wise. That we're gathering more information, waiting for the right opportunity, or giving ourselves a little more time. We convince ourselves that when we finally feel confident enough, prepared enough, or certain enough, we'll take the leap.
But have you ever noticed how much of life gets spent waiting?
Waiting until we feel more confident.
Waiting until the timing is perfect.
Waiting until fear finally quiets down.
We wait for clarity as though it is something that arrives like a letter in the mail.
Yet if I'm honest with you—and with myself—clarity has never arrived first during any defining season of my life.
What arrived first... was a decision.
When I made the decision to choose healing, to choose purpose, and to choose growth, I didn't have every answer. I didn't have the next five years mapped out. I simply had enough faith for the next step.
Somewhere along the journey, I discovered something that forever changed how I approached uncertainty.
If we're honest...
And I'm always intending to be...
Clarity wasn't missing. It was waiting on me.
The moment I began moving, the fog slowly began to lift.
Interestingly, research supports this truth.
Psychologists have found that confidence often follows action—not the other way around. In other words, waiting until we feel ready can quietly keep us standing in the very place we're praying to move beyond.
That realization changed everything for me.
One practice I adopted was choosing direction over perfection.
Perfection demands guarantees.
Direction simply asks you to begin.
There is incredible freedom in that.
Another practice was changing the questions I asked myself.
Instead of asking,
"How do I feel?"
I began asking,
"What do I know?"

What do I know about God's faithfulness?
What do I know about the woman I've already become?
What do I know about the strength I've demonstrated before?
Our feelings are valid.
But they are not always reliable when it comes to leading.
Sometimes the most courageous thing we can do is move forward with trembling hands and unwavering faith.
And when the step feels overwhelming...
Shrink it.
One phone call.
One application.
One paragraph.
One prayer.
One intentional decision.
Never underestimate the power of small, consistent actions. They have a remarkable way of creating extraordinary momentum.
Before I leave you today, I want to leave you with one question that I've been reflecting on myself:
What decision have you been postponing because you've been waiting to feel ready?
Sit with that question.
Don't rush your answer.
But when you're ready...
Choose one small action that honors it.
Because clarity has a beautiful way of meeting women who move.
Over the coming weeks, I'll begin sharing more about a space I'm building for women who desire to grow with intention, authenticity, and community.
The Becoming Circle.
For now, thank you for spending part of your Wednesday with me.
Remember...
We're not just reading.
We're becoming.
